Portal 9: Stories and Critical Writing about the City celebrates the launch of its third issue, ‘‘Fiction: Contemporary Arabic and Russian Pursuits.’’

An experiment with form, ‘‘Fiction’’ comprises a novella by Hassan Daoud and short stories by Irina Bogatyreva, Arslan Khasavov, and Mansoura Ez-Eldin with a photo-roman by Yazan Khalili.
